Dr. Robert R. Gerl, Ph.D., D.Min, LP, LPC, LMSW, LMFT, BCPC, ABSNP is a fully licensed psychologist, fully licensed professional counselor, fully licensed social worker, and fully licensed marriage and family therapist.  Dr. Gerl is Board Certified, a Diplomate in School Neuropsychology and Board Certified Professional Counselor. He is an Approved Supervisor by the American Association of Marriage and Family therapy. Dr. Bob has supervised LPC, LMFT, LLP interns and students. 


Dr. Bob specializes in neuropsychology. He does neuropsychological assessments of children, adolescents, adults and geriatric populations for all DSM-5 diagnoses including: ADHD, concussion, head injury, organic issues, dementia, complex behavior disorders. Dr. Bob has worked as a school psychologist working with children in Early On, Head Start, elementary, middle and high school. He completed evaluations for juvenile centers; as well as engaged with older adults working for Senior services.

 

Dr. Bob is certified EMDR Level II counselor and was certified as an addictions counselor doing assessments for the US DOT as Substance Abuse Professional. 


Dr. Bob has  performed evaluations for adoptions nationally and internationally. Dr. Bob has served as an expert witness in legal cases involving guardianship and family violence and conflict. 


Dr. Bob has certifications with the Michigan Department of Education as a school psychologist, special education supervisor and special education director. He has supervised special education teachers, speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, school psychologist and school social workers. 


Dr. Bob works part time on the medical unit of Social Security Disability as a psychological consultant. He has done many presentations for staff and in the local community. He has taught at Nazareth College, Spring Arbor University, University of Phoenix, Western Michigan University and St. Catharine College.
