Lydia Pongo is a Limited License Professional Counselor. Lydia holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Leadership from Union College and a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Andrews University.
Lydia has experience working with clients of diverse backgrounds and goals including depression, anxiety, personality disorders, post-traumatic stress, social anxiety, eating disorders, phobias, stress management, anger management, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, career counseling, substance abuse, academic problems, relationships, domestic violence, and grief. Her therapeutic approach is client-centered and she tailors her treatment modality for each unique individual. She often incorporates cognitive behavioral, dialectic behavioral, and solution-focused techniques, and healthy lifestyle methods into her treatment plans.
Lydia is a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA). In her spare time, she is often found hiking in nature, playing instruments, reading, trying new recipes, or planning her next adventure.
